Who’s Jonny?

Jonny is a young man with autism from an African background attending a special needs school for autism and lives at home with his family. He enjoys computers, swimming and other activities. He can communicate well using pecs (picture boards) and symbols and has many friends with associated disabilities. Jonny has traveled back to his native Ghana and his parent realised that help and awareness was minimal and more was needed to help families, communities and professional bodies address issues behind autism.  With that in mind this charity was set up in honour of his name.  Witnessing the problems autistic children face, highlighted the important role JAFFA can play to increase the awareness and understanding of autism in Ghana.
