Information and Training

One of the core aims of JAFFA is to provide information to the community about autism and train those who work or deal with children with autism.  We will:

  • Provide training to parents, families, schools and other professionals.
  • Provide information to the community to increase their understanding of autism through printing and distributing leaflets, activities at our centre and having a presence at community and church events.
  • Keep people informed about autism and other special needs including news and developments
  • Run information sessions for parents and professionals on a range of topics such as school exclusion, recognising symptoms of autism and how to act, preparing educational plans for individuals with special needs, toilet training, changing from primary to secondary and assertive behaviour.
